  • Fills medication orders, matching label to doctor's order. 
  • Counting, pouring, measuring and weighing tablets and medications.
  • Assists in reviewing product expiration dates and assists in stocking all areas.
  • Completing cash register transactions.

  • Answering phones.

  • Taking inventory of over-the-counter medications.


  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Current pharmacy technician certification (CPhT) or acquire CPhT within 12 months of employment.
  • Current NJ Board of Pharmacy Registration or acquire within 6 months of employment.


  • Frequent physical demands include: Standing , Walking , Pinching/fine motor activities

    Occasional physical demands include: Sitting , Climbing (e.g., stairs or ladders) , Carry objects , Push/Pull , Twisting , Bending , Reaching forward , Reaching overhead , Squat/kneel/crawl , Wrist position deviation , Keyboard use/repetitive motion

    Continuous physical demands include: Talk or Hear

    Lifting Floor to Waist 25 lbs. Lifting Waist Level and Above 10 lbs
