Qualified applicant possesing a CDL license with passenger endorsement will perform dispatching activities related to the transportation activities of Capital Health PACE. Maintains the schedule and communication with drivers, supervisor or manager, and maintenance personnel. Reroutes the bus routes and driver assignments as needed to meet door-to-door transportation needs of the Capital Health PACE programs participants.

Performs effectively as a student in an academy style classroom setting that is divided between didactic training and various clinical and prehospital areas. Learns how to effectively and safely assess the needs of patients using accepted national and state standards for the EMT-B and rapidly setting priorities of care. Learns how to effectively and safely render care to patients of all ages whom experience any injury or illness, utilizing appropriate equipment and techniques to safely assess, treat, lift, move and transport patients. Learns how to effectively and safely provide pre-hospital Basic Life Support care in all weather conditions, while maintaining an effective working relationship with other EMS providers as a valued member of the patient care team.

Plans, organizes, and implements social services to PACE Organization (PO) participants and families. Aassesses, treats, teaches and counsels participants, caregivers, or other appropriate representatives. Includes individual participant contacts, appropriate collateral contacts, participants, and family memebers in education, assessment, and counseling as needed. Assesses provision of resources, addresses mental health needs, reviews ongoing case management, advocates to ensure participant and caregiver needs are met, and addresses and disenrolls as required.
Plans, develops, and implements appropriate therapeutic recreational activities for all participants. Provides direction and support to recreation assistant and other staff members as appropriate and is responsible for quality improvement within recreation department.

Ensures tray line is set up with the appropriate items before meal service to ensure efficiency and excellent customer service. Serves appropriate portions and selections on patient tray line and late tray service to meet patient nutritional requirements. Follows Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines when handling food, cleaning work stations, and breaking down patient tray line. Completes other assigned tasks including the bakery, nourishments, salads, Meals on Wheels, and pre-prep, delivery of floor stock to Units, patient tray cart delivery to units, and patient tray delivery and retrieval from patient rooms.
