Manages the day-to-day activities and resources of Capital Health (CH) Laboratory to provide inpatient and outpatient laboratory services. Develops, maintains and administers clinical laboratory policies, processes and procedures. Ensures laboratory operations are within approved budgetary parameters. Manages through subordinate supervisors the activities of the Laboratory. Manages the overall efficient operation of the section. Provides overall technical and supervisory direction to ensure that laboratory services comply with standards established by IHS Laboratory Services, CAP, AABB, FDA, OSHA, AND JCAHO and other regulatory agencies.
Conducts electroneurodiagnostic procedures including patient assessment, testing, collection and technical interpretation of data, completion of preliminary reports and billing. Performs routine and complex procedures to obtain data for use in the diagnosis of clinical disorders of the nervous system in at least one of the following modalities of Neurodiagnostics: Electroencephalography(EEG), Ambulatory EEG, Long-Term Monitoring (LTM) and ICU patient monitoring. Provides training and education support to other technologists and/or neurophysiologists as needed. Gathers and documents accurate medical information. Reviews patient data and communicates with physicians and other healthcare professionals to assure high quality patient care.

Serves as an expert in identifying, assessing, and investigating professional patient billing compliance and privacy risk by maintaining up-to-date knowledge of rules, regulations, authoritative guidance, and standards related to Capital Health's major billing and privacy compliance risks. Supports the Compliance Office's function as an independent appraiser by carrying out timely and accurate audits and investigations for provider and practice based audit issues. Administers good judgement and decision making skills in regards to the department. Provides oversight supporting physician arrangements, including compensation review, implementation, and audit functions. Ensures communication and transparency across multiple departments and management across the organization. Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
Ensures tray line is stocked appropriately and in a timely manner. Uses menu and production sheets before each meal service to ensure food service accuracy. Ensures tray line is set up with the appropriate items before meal service to ensure efficiency and excellent customer service. Serves appropriate portions and selections on patient tray line and late tray service to meet patient nutritional requirements. Follows Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines when handling food, cleaning work stations, and breaking down patient tray line. Completes other assigned tasks including the bakery, nourishments, salads, Meals on Wheels, and pre-prep, delivery of floor stock to Units, patient tray cart delivery to units, and patient tray delivery and retrieval from patient rooms.
